Roark hired The Sideways Life PR to launch Run Amok, a trail running collection true to the spirit of Roark’s wayward wanderings. Technical in its performance, the trail to bar mentality offers runners and athletes style driven apparel with versatile performance. 

GOLDWIN

Goldwin came to Rian Rhoe as a client with the desire to enter the US market as a household name in Japan, yet relatively unknown in North America. In collaboration with Jam Collective, and This is Range’s Jeanine Pesce and Lisa Doughtery on social media, Rian Rhoe crafted a PR strategy to introduce the performance outdoor brand with roots in ski apparel to an urban audience of outdoor apparel enthusiasts. We achieved this with an emphasis on brand storytelling, strategic product placement, and collaborative events with Westerlind. Earned media placements included a brand heritage story on highsnobiety.com as well as brand and product coverage on Hypebeast, Gear Patrol, Outside Magazine, Men’s Health, SKI, The Manual, Essential Homme, Trend Hunter, Coolhunting, Proper Magazine and in influential Reddit groups focused on outdoor apparel and more.

AIRBLASTER

Airblaster has built a reputation among snowboarders as one of the industry’s most authentic and trustworthy brands. In 2016, Rian Rhoe/ The Sideways Life was hired to share the story of the “Best Baselayer of All Time” The Ninja Suit with new audiences, primarily ski and outdoor.

We did this through product seeding and product storytelling resulting in earned media coverage among trusted outlets, including: Powder Magazine, Gear Patrol, Freeskier, Gear Junkie, SKI, WIRED, Outside, The Field Mag, Iron and Air, Explore Big Sky, The Seattle Times, and many others.

Launched Rumpl’s Super Fleece blanket via Kickstarter, and several new prints for their puffy blanket, with a focus on earned digital media.

Reached 380 Million online brand impressions in Q4 0f 2016. Reached over 222 million online impressions in Q1 and Q2 of 2017.
